Featured speaker: Dr. Sofia Khan, Welcoming Afghan Refugees and Challenges with Ukrainian Arrivals”

Dr. Khan is a local physician and advocate. In 2016 she founded KC for Refugees, which has assisted and continues to assist hundreds of individuals into our Kansas City community. She lives in Overland Park with her husband, also a physician, and five daughters. A few years ago she received the Steve Jeffers Leadership Service Award from the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council and is recognized by the community as an advocate for for refugees.
