Featured speaker: Dave Mitchell, “Transformational Congressional Action to Address Our Climate Crisis”

Dave Mitchell is a retired LCSW social worker, having worked primarily with the chronically mentally ill at Western Missouri Mental Health Center, later named the Center for Behavioral Medicine. Originally from Columbia, Missouri, Dave obtained a B.A. in psychology from Westminster College, an MSW from the University of Iowa, and an MPA from UMKC. He has volunteered with numerous environmental organizations over the years, including THB Sierra Club, Citizens Climate Lobby KC, Climate Action KC, and Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project.
