Join us on Saturday, December 17th for a day of work rehabilitating homes around Kansas City! Kansas City Oasis is assisting The Kansas City Anti-Violence Project (KCAVP) with their volunteer partnership with Habitat for Humanity to fix up homes for those in our community.
We’ll meet at the Habitat for Humanity office at 8:00 A.M. for information and housing assignments and then head to our work places until 3:00 or 3:30 P.M. There will be an hour lunch break in the middle. Please bring a sack lunch.
If you can make it for all or part of the day, please RSVP as soon as possible and join us in kicking off the holiday season by showing our community what Oasis holds as our values: human hands solve human problems, and meaning comes from making a difference.
The Kansas City Anti-Violence Project (KCAVP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that provides dedicated services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) youth and adults, throughout Missouri and Kansas, who have experienced trauma, violence, harassment or neglect. Through direct advocacy, professional training and community education, we work to prevent and respond to domestic violence, sexual violence and hate crimes.
