Featured Speaker: Ryan Bell, “From a Year Without God to Life After God”
Community Moment: Darrel Ray
Musical Guest: Kelly Hunt Duo

After nearly 20 years of pastoral ministry in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ryan Bell was asked to resign in early 2013 due to doctrinal and some policy difference with the denomination. In 2014 he launched a blog, and a personal project, to explore what atheism is, and try, once and for all, to answer the nagging questions about his faith. By January 2015 Ryan was an atheist and a humanist. In mid-2015 he launched Life After God. This talk will walk you through the journey he has been on for the past five years, looking at what has changed and what has stayed the same.

About the speaker:
Ryan Bell is the National Organizing Manager at the Secular Student Alliance, where he leads the organizing staff in resourcing hundreds of student groups on high school, college and university campuses. SSA helps students create community, define their secular humanist values and put them into action. Ryan also serves as the Humanist Chaplain at the University of Southern California (USC) and host of the Life After God podcast.

He received a Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. As an adjunct professor he has taught subjects ranging from intercultural communication to bioethics.
