Galen will be sharing some lessons he’s learned about the crucial role that emotions play in effective communication, and how developing a better awareness of our emotions and those of others can enhance our personal and professional relationships.

About the speaker:
Galen grew up in South central Kansas and in dozens of towns across the Southwest United States. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1994. He resides in Lawrence with his wife and daughter. Galen has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years. He has extensive experience with process improvement, auditing, reporting and management.

He is a former board President of Kansas City Oasis, where he still volunteers. He also performs some communication functions for the Oasis Network.
