Great American Kites & Events will take flight over the lawn of the MCC-Longview campus with awe-inspiring mega kites, power kites, stunt kites, and more, including the world's largest windsock – three stories high and 200 feet long! KC Oasis Day for Micah Ministry

Spend the day at Micah preparing and serving the houseless and underemployed. Some employers allow employees to take a day off to do charity work, so check with your employer. Folks of all ages are invited to help Micah prepare for the INDOOR service. Bring the kids after school or all day. This will be followed by an optional post-Micah meal at a local eatery. In 2020, while serving on a Thomas Hart Benton Sierra Club Committee, she researched environmental and societal impacts of overlighting in anticipation of Kansas City’s (then future) planned transition to LED streetlights.
